I think you are a bit confused TFT.

It is not a Championship match. "Championship" is the crummy name that they have come up with for that league. This game was just a regular league match.

It is called the Championship this season for the first time. In reality it is England Division 2. The Premier League is the top division and the "Championship" is the league below that.

This is the first season that the league has been called the "Championship" and the name change was unpopular. The driving force behind the name change was Coca-Cola, I think, who are the new sponsors of the English lower leagues.

What a pile of crap IMO.
